Dr. Stephanie Kaza Stephanie Kaza is professor emerita of environmental studies, University of Vermont, and Soto Zen practitioner. Her books include Green Buddhism: Practice and Compassionate Action in Uncertain Times (Shambhala, 2019); Hooked! Buddhist Writings on Greed, Desire, and the Urge to Consume (Shambhala, 2005) and Conversations with Trees: An Intimate Ecology (Shambhala, 2019). She co-edited with Kenneth Kraft, Dharma Rain: Sources of Buddhist Environmentalism (Shambhala, 2000) and recently edited the tribute volume: A Wild Love for the World: Joanna Macy and the Work of Our Time (Shambhala, 2020).
